MAXIMAL.
New Era fitted Designed by Chase B.
What’s missing from your hat collection you ask? How about a hat with multiple different panels that reference one of the most iconic Nike SB sneakers made on a New Era fitted featuring a selection of MLB teams logo.
This is the Maximal hat designed by Chase B, producer DJ known for his work with Travis Scott but also his love for all things sports related. This hat has been in the works for awhile with Chase B teasing the audience without a release date, well all that has change and the hat was released at a few Lids before releasing to the public online. Chase B has been tied to multiple successful projects mostly music and media so you could only expect the hat to release and sell out. Which was exactly the case. Take a look below at some photos of the Chicago White Sox version of the Maximal.

“Wu-Tang is for the children!”
Nike has released one of its greatest gems to the public, An iconic vault release. The Yellow and black Iowa dunk with the stitched “W” Wu-Tang logo at the heel of each sneaker crafted with Premium leather this sneaker does not disappoint. I took time to snap a few photos, please enjoy!

THE STORE.
Before we dive into the items. Lets start with a proper introduction. Every Now & Then is JFG retail space located on W. Lake St Chicago. This very spot was the host for all raffle winners to visit and claim their sneaker. These very nice kelly green bags were provided.
-
WITHOUT FURTHER ADO.
During the initial roll out a link was provided with instruction on how to enter a raffle with the option to choose which color of the shoe you’d like. This black colorway of the JFG 990V4 is titled “outro” and the jersey is a nice heavy weight cotton long sleeve.

"1998".
If you know, you know. Some movies are timeless and become a reference for those who relate to the film. With all the elements and substance involved in this movie Joe was able to focus very much on the art style of the Director and translate that into 3 sneakers and a full line of apparel.

"OUTRO".
The idea of releasing a collection at the end of the year around holiday season can be hit or miss. This wasn’t the case for JFG x New Balance”1998”. The full rollout was exciting, with the lookbook, the editorial shots and the video from the creative Joshua Kissi. It just felt like perfect timing. Even the raffle processs was different, giving Chicago/Illinois residents priority and the option to pick them up in person. Thanks for taking time and reading this brief review but take a moment and enjoys the pictures then maybe check to see if anything from the collection is still available.
Union Air Jordan 2 : Utopia

An Air Jordan 2.
Could this be perfect timing? Could this be the moment for a retro Air Jordan 2 to shine? Honestly for me I’d say yes! With my OG color way from 2002 crumbling into piece months earlier and the fact Union always hits whether it be instant or later down the road we can’t deny what Chris and his team are able to create in such a “deconstruct” approach.
-
Un'Boxed.
We don’t have to address the issue with this release so let’s move pass that and just say I wasn’t able to get this pair on release day or for retail. Usually I lose interest and just wait for the next hot thing but in this case I kept checking the resale and to my surprise this shoe wasn’t calling for the big $$$ that a Union Jordan usually does. So i played the waiting game and with my birthday days away I decided now was the time and just a few dollars over retail i was able to purchase the Rattan in my size. ( Thanks @lacedup815 )

Just wear em'.
Some might not agree on this being a wearable color way, some might agree it is the most wearable color way. My advice is challenge yourself and your style. I was bored with the original color way. This Union stays true to the silhouette or an Air Jordan 2 but gives a fresh breath of style, materials, and a more playful not so sporty vibe. Don’t let your wardrobe decide if you can wear these, buy these then challenge your wardrobe.

Classics never die.
The original story of this model is that Nike went too far left, they didn’t include the swoosh they used expensive leather and the shoe was made in Italy and the man himself hated them. Personally I think the shoe works now, Its a “designer sneaker” made for basketball. There has been many collabs of the Air Jordan 2, all which hold their own within the sneaker culture. So did Union have to really go over the top and create something everyone would love, No! All they had to do was tell a story and create something fresh and new to go along with it. Honestly I believe the did just that.
BlvckLxrds
A Style here to stay. The abnoxious amount of stacks with a really unnecessarily long inseam BlvckLxrds has put its stamp on a really comfortable sweatpant with minimal branding. Take a look and find them on Instagram @BlvckLxrds and Blvcklxrds.com
It starts with an Idea:
LANOR Basketball short.
There is a story, there is the design and then there is the actual item. Marketing that item has to be a process all on its own. After the product shots and look book shots were complete it was time for marketing content. The photo below is a twist on one of the NBA’s greatest players in order to grab the consumers attention and curiosity. Im able to say not only the photography was done by the creative brand KIDSDREAMHERETOO but also the marketing campaign, whether it was a successful campaign only time will tell but here are shots of the LANOR basketball short and one image used in the marketing of the short.
A Good Hat from GoodTimes.
Just short of a week later, after one of my favorite holidays. Here is a hat that not only celebrates that day but also an iconic figure in the horror industry. GoodTimes is a resell boutique that has pretty much figured out that a good hat will bring the masses! So take a look at the few detailed shots below and give @goodtimesclt @goodtimes.atlanta @mylesawayfromyou a follow on Instagram.
AIR JORDAN 1 CHICAGO : LOST & FOUND
Definitely a unique design in its own right, but also predictable. In the previous years we seen the trend of “worn in” “destroyed” and “vintage aged” sneakers be the go to look opposed to the clean “fresh out the box”. Now we have Jordan Brand/ Nike taking matters into their own hands and giving us a themed release titled “Lost and Found” with a back story being that these sneakers were misplaced set aside and “lost” for a very long time. The sneaker feature broken in leather worn out box with a mix matched lid and a receipt dating back to the original purchase. So take a look at the photos below and see what else you can spot that pays homage to the beginning of the sneaker culture we know today.

Supreme Nike Air Bakin
I promise this is not another sneaker review blog. With that being said here we have the new Supreme x Nike Air Bakin. A very controversial shoe during its original release, if you wish to read up on that i’m sure google can help you with that. So basically we have two versions of the Original base model with a few minor tweaks and extra branding provided by Supreme. One in a sort of Multi color pattern with black being the base color and other just pure white. The leather on the upper does have a sort of “pebbling” , very subtle but a nice touch. Not really much more to talk about so I provided extra shots of the sneakers for your viewing pleasures!

A Ma Maniere.
There is nothing new about the brands A Ma Maniere and Jordan Brand teaming up to design a sneaker, but i’m here to speak on Jordan brand and A Ma Maniere designing a solid track pant. First off this pant is available in two colors, white and black(pictured below). The subtle vertical lines down each leg has the color scheme so familiar with A Ma Maniere, drawstrings, a snap closure back pocket and nice wide leg openings. The pant is a nice heavy weight that keeps its structure without being to warm. If you have the opportunity to check these pants out I highly suggest it.
